Look at these beautiful pink hyacinths! Don't they just scream "spring" and put you in a good mood instantly?
This is not what they looked like though, when i found them at my favorite flower shop. They were leftovers from the weekend, almost wilted, squeezed into a tiny corner, looking sad, sold at a bargain price. Oh, and they were plain white.I took those poor guys home with me, thoroughly washed and shortened the stems, and gave them a pink makeover.
Here's what you need to dye flowers:
- white flowers
- acrylic paint
- an old jar or bucket
- water
Sind das nicht wunderschöne pinke Hyazinthen? Sie schreien förmlich Frühling, und man bekommt sofort gute Laune, oder?
So sahen sie allerdings nicht aus als ich sie in meinem Lieblings-Blumengeschäft gefunden habe. Sie ware noch übrig vom Wochenende, fast verwelkt, in die letzte Ecke gequetscht und stark reduziert. Oh, und sie waren komplett weiss.
Ich konnte nicht widerstehn und musste sie mitnehmen. Zuhause habe ich sie gründlich gewaschen, und mal schnell pink eingefärbt.
Zum Färben brauchst Du:
- weisse Blumen
- Acrylfarbe
- ein altes Glas oder Eimer
- Wasser
Instructions:
1. Protect your workspace. I highly recommend to do this DIY ( as well as any other project that involes paint) in the bathtub or shower, covered with old newspaper or an old towel.
2. In a jar or bucket, mix acrylic paint with water. Make sure the jar is large enough to hold the bloom completely
Anleitung:
1. Bedecke die Arbeitsfläche. Ich empfehle wärmstens alle Projekte die mit Farbe zu tun haben, in der Badewanne oder Dusche zu machen, abgedeckt mit altem Zeitungspapier oder einem alten Handtuch
2. Mische Acrylfarbe und Wasser in einem Eimer oder Glas, das groß genug ist für die ganze Blüte
3. Dip the flowers into the mixture upside down
3. Tauche die Blume kopfüber in das Farbwasser
4. Carefully shake the flowers to get rid of the excess liquid
5. Put the flowers into a vase or jar and let dry
And that' it! Easy peasy, with a great result!
4. Schüttel die Blume ganz vorsichtig, um das überschüssige Wasser abzutropfen
5. Stelle die Blumen in eine Vase oder Glas und lasse sie trocknen.
Und das wars! Super einfach, mit einem tollen Ergebnis!
