Homemade Strawberry Marmelade Recipe

As soon as we got home from strawberry picking, I started to process our harvest. One portion went straight into a blender, for a refreshing and healthy strawberry-rasperry-smoothie. Another portion went into the freezer.

One part turned into a delicious pie, and the rest was equally divided into our dessert as well as a large jar of marmelade. It is SO easy to make, and tastes delicious!
Seriously, try it and you will never want to buy yucky stuff from the grocery store full with preservatives and other unhealthy ingredients.

So here is my recipe. You need:

500g Strawberries
500g canning sugar 1:1 ( or 250g 2:1)

Make sure the berries are fresh and flawless, otherwise your marmelade will rot quickly.

1. Wash the berries and remove all the leaves and green stuff

2. In a bowl, blend the berries and sugar until you have a nice smooth puree.

3. Heat the mixture, stirr occasionally, and boil for 5-10 minutes

4. Pour the hot purree into a clean (!) jar, close the lid tightly, and turn upside down. Leave it like that for about 15 minutes

And that's it! So easy, so delicious.
