One of MisterT's co-workers was lucky enough to celebrate his retirement last week. He threw a big party, and what could be a better gift than a distressed photo canvas?
This time, i did not only use a single photo of his old VW beetle, but i added words as well, and partly covered the canvas with clay, acrylic paint, paper and ink pads in different colors to achieve a rustic and aged look.
Moreover we gave him a bottle of wine, nicely wrapped in a grey sock. The gift tag ( created with my Cameo and Silhouette's wonderful sketch pens) says "Frohe Rente, alte Socke", which means "happy retirement, old sock".
I am happy to say that the "old man" LOVED both gifts!
