While knitting is definitely not one of my main talents, and the only stitch I am able to manage is the basic Garter Stitch, I truly enjoy playing with yarn and needles lately. It is extremely relaxing, can easily be done while watching TV, and you can see a result after only a couple of minutes.
I purchased a knitting magazine a few weeks ago, that came with two skeins of yarn and a set of ( admittedly cheap) wooden needles.
Today, i painted those needles. It's super easy and can be done in minutes..
Stricken ist zwar nicht gerade eins meiner größten Talente, und ich kann auch nur ein einziges Grundmuster stricken, aber seit kurzem macht es mir doch riesigen Spaß mit Wolle und Stricknadeln zu spielen. Es ist so entspannend, man kann dabei TV gucken, und schon nach ein paar Minuten sieht man ein Ergebnis. Vor ein paar Wochen gab es dann ein neues Strickheft inklusive Wolle und ein Paar Stricknadeln für 1€ zu kaufen. Da konnte ich natürlich nicht widerstehen, obwohl klar war daß die Qualität eher mau sein würde.
Und genau diese Stricknadeln habe ich heute mal bunt angemalt. Ist ganz einfach und dauert nur ein paar Minuten.
Materials:
- knitting needles
- acrylic paint in white plus one or more colors
- paint brushes and sponge
Instructions:
1. Prime the knitting needles with white acrylic paint. Let dry completely.
2. Put a dab of paint to a paint brush, and brush it on the needle. Then wipe it with a paint sponge to smoothen the brush strokes.
3. Let dry, then add another color.
4. Repeat with a third color, let dry again.
That's it!
Material:
- Holz-Stricknadeln
- Acrylfarbe in weiss, und eine oder mehrere andere Farben
- Pinsel und Malschwämmchen
Anleitung:
1. Grundiere die Stricknadeln mit weißer Acrylfarbe und lasse sie komplett trocknen.
2. Gib einen kleinen Klecks Acrylfabe auf den Pinsel, male die Stricknadel an, und glätte die Farbe anschließend mit einem Malschwämmchen, damit man die Pinselstriche nicht sieht.
3. Lass die Farbe trocknen, dann wiederhole Schritt 2 mit einer anderen Farbe.
4. Das ganze nochmal mit einer dritten Farbe, und wieder trocknen lassen.
