"Key to my Heart" Valentine's Day Card

Here's a quick and easy Valentine's Day DIY for all the love birds out there: a handmade "You hold the Key to my Heart" card.

Today, 9 years ago, MisterT and i fell in love. 9 years of adventure, 9 years of happiness, 9 years of true love.

So, it's 2014. Craaazyyy! 

I still remember when it was 1999 and everyone was slightly scared what would happen post-millennial.
I still remember watching "Back to the Future II" as a kid and 2015 seemed to be like hundreds of lightyears away. Wow! So hard to believe it will be next year already. Hopefully i get to meet Marty then :)

Here is my review of the last five weeks.


It all started with this Plopp MisterT brought home one day

Made me realize that our home is actually not as sweet as it should. So i started decluttering and redocorating.

Step 1: Gave more than half of my wardrobe including shoes and make-up to those who need ( #contentmentchallenge Part2)

Step 2, unfortunately in total contrast to step 1: bought new items for our home

Admittedly, i spent way more than i had intended to, but it was totally worth it. I purchased a new rug, chair cushions, pillow covers and bedding. All in relaxing and calming neutral colors.

New window film in the bathroom. Love the bamboo pattern!

After christmas christmas shopping. I saved more than 80% on holiday decorations!

Coffee break at Starbucks

Sushi for dinner. Haven't had sushi for almost three years now!

Our christmas gifts this year:
A Nexus 7 and a beautiful handmade monogrammed leather case for me, and a handmade messenger bag as well a Polar Bear Adoption for MisterT.

Lastly, more holiday impressions:

Happy Sunday

Really, today is the last sunday in November? This is crazy! Time flies faster than you can say "time flies". MisterT and i caught an awful flu, and we're both coughing and sneezing and blowing our noses every other minute.

Let's see what else happend this month ( in a totally random order).


My favorite mail once a year: the Tiffany catalogue

Speaking of Tiffany:  it's our tradition to buy one new christmas ornament each year, and i would love to have this gorgeous candy cane

But our budget said that spending 1,50€ is smarter than spending 50€, and so we bought this plastic candy cane instead:

I made pumpkin bread

And fell in love with the Keep Calm-o-Matic

Ljusskal Wild Fig scented candle. It came with a beautiful box and a silver tassel. Adorable!

And last but not least: my NYE cake topper in a magazine. Shoe stickers and a bridal bouquet will shortly be featured in magazines, too.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Roasted pumpkin seeds, yummy!

Clean the seeds, then soak them in salt water, as shown here.

Once dry, drizzle with olive oil, add spices, bake in the oven.
I used sea salt only, and flipped the seeds after 7 minutes. I let them bake for 7 more minutes, then turned off the oven and let the seeds cool with the oven door open.
The result is wonderful. AMAZING taste!
